Upon receiving her fashion degree at Istituto Marangoni Paris, Hazal decided to navigate her career in film, where she interned then worked on several global projects at multi-award winning production companies like Somesuch and Riff Raff Films in London.
She produced and directed her first documentary, Nazaryan, which premiered at Soho House Istanbul, led her to produce her first narrative short film, By Numbers, which won the Best Smartphone Film at CBFF Awards, premiered on Girls in Film platform.
An expert visual researcher with broad knowledge of film & fashion history, she’s working as a freelancer - writing, developing, producing documentaries and narrative film projects. Dog mom, lived in 4 different countries, speaks English, Italian, French and Turkish (all equally badly) and her body is 88% LCD Soundsystem.
